Fee Information

The following fee information table also incorporates the fee structure of Orange Christian School. The secondary fees are provided to help guide parents in assessing fees across all the schooling years. For those families sending their children only to Bathurst they need only to look at the first four lines of the schedule. There is an sibling discount built into fees and this is applied to both Bathurst and Orange. Many parents that live in Bathurst send their children to Orange to complete their studies.

Senior Secondary levy

800

Applies to all senior sec. students

Families with more 5 or more will need to contact the school front office for more information.

First child is the eldest child in the family.

Tuition fees

The fees have been unbundled so parents can claim the Education Tax Refund. (Please contact the school office to breakdown details). As far as possible, fees are all inclusive. They include expenses such as (homework/library satchels for Primary), exercise books, school diary, school excursions

(Excluding senior secondary), bus transport and entry fees to school sporting activities.

Working Bees

From 2009 the working bee levy of $150 per family per annum is incorporated in the first child fee. At the end of the year, parents that have completed their working bee program will have this levy rebated.

Pre Kindergarten

The cost for each child enrolled in prekinder is $30 dollars a day and does not include any food.  A non refundable deposit of $50 is required on application. There are no fee discounts for siblings or fee relief for prekinder.

Pre Kinder is available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for 39 weeks of the year.

Payment Methods

Quarterly installments are payable by the end of the second week of each school term. Weekly, fortnightly or monthly payments may be made by direct debit, BPay or payroll deduction through arrangements made at the front office

Fees are set at the lowest possible level and assume that parents will make substantial contributions of time and energy as well as money to the school.

The fee structure is based on affordability, expressed in the substantial family rebate granted and by ensuring that no family experiencing genuine hardship is excluded from access to our school because of monetary considerations. A range of options, including direct debit, exist to ensure that families are able to meet their fee commitments with least stress to the family budget.

Fees provide about 35% of the school’s operating income. The rest of our income comes in the form of Commonwealth and State recurrent grants.

Enrolment & Textbooks Deposits

All families making applications for enrolment are required to lodge a $150 per family, once only, enrolment deposit.

If the school is unable to offer an enrolment position the $150 is refunded. If an offer for a position is made by the school and is not taken up by the family, the entire deposit is kept by the school.

Leaving the School

There are times when crisis or sudden changes to circumstances force families to leave the district at short notice and the school is sensitive to families in such circumstances.

There is, however, a need for the school to be given fair notice of departure to allow time for resource, staff and administrative adjustments.

With this in mind, the Board of the school requires a minimum of one full terms’ written notice of departure. If written notice is not given, one term’s fees will be levied.

Individual circumstances will be considered in the implementation of this policy.
